Luckily, my friends in Vista Verde are now safe and sound, thank GOD! I was able to call my friend this morning while she and her family were cleaning up the mess left by the horrible flood. They weren't able to save many of their important stuff especially their cars but what's important is everyone in the family is safe and no one got hurt... not even one of their four dogs!
We still have thousands of fellow Filipinos who are stranded and needing every single help they can get. From food to clothing, to shelter and medical assistance. I highly encourage everyone to donate directly to Philippine Red Cross via http://www.redcross.org.ph/Site/PNRC/Default.aspx?S=48&SS=972 and/or donate food, drinking water, clothing, and toiletries to your local relief chapters.
May all of us who have dry and comfortable place to go home to extend help to those in need!

Stacey, I'm glad your friend and family are okay. I'm glad to hear from many of my Filipino friends and that they're okay, too.
Best wishes to you and all of the Filipino community!
